A WIN FOR BERNBOROUGH (Rec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Dec. 23. Bernborough, a six-year-old Queensland horse, had a runaway win in the Villiers Stakes at Randwick yesterday. He carried top-weight and came from last at the six furlongs. Until the middle of this year Bernborough’s racing was confined to Toowoomba. He was banned from every other course in Queensland. Six months ago ht> was bought by a Sydney racing man, but was not allowed to race here until a fortnight ago. The New Zealand-bred filly Gold Taj (Nizami—White Gold), starting at odds on, was defeated- in the Gimcrack Stakes after leading to within half a furlong of the post.
