WOOL PRODUCTION LOWER

THE GISBORNE-EAST COAST DISTRICT (P.A.) GISBORNE, Dec. 22. The general indications are that wool production in the Gisborne-East Coast area will be down this season by about 12i per cent, on last year. This is due mainly to the exceptionally dry weather which the area has experienced in the past year. The clip generally is lacking growth, and showing other effects of the prolonged dry spell in that it is dusty and dry and shows a windswept appearance.
