WIN AGAINST OXFORDSHIRE (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) LONDON, Dec, 14. The New Zealand Services defeated Oxfordshire by 12 points to 7. The team selected to play against the South Africans at Richmond next Wednesday is:—Backs —H. E. Johns (Taranaki). I. J. Botting and M. J. Goddard (South Canterbury), P. W. Day (Auckland), H. Kimberley (Nelson)., C. Geary (Dunedin), and H. O. Stewart (Auckland); forwards C. Hardie and M. Ingpen (Wellington), C. Porter and G. F. Henderson (captain, Christchurch), K. D. Rankin and M. Henderson (Christchurch), : B. Goldsbury (Wanganui), and R. A. Dalton (Waikato). This '’Services’ team, which is comprised of men serving in the navy, army and air force in Britain, has now played 17 matches, winning 15, losing to Cardiff, and drawing with the R.A.A.F. It has scored 284 points, while 87 have been scored against it. The outstanding players have been G. F. Henderson (who has distinguished himself as captain), Botting, Goddard, and Dalton.
