JAPANESE OFFICERS

SENTENCED TO BE HANGED DECAPITATION OF AMERICANS (Rec. 9 p.m.) MANILA, Dec. 12. A Kwajalein message says the United States Military Commission sentenced six Japanese officers to be hanged for the decapitation of five American airmen on Mili Island in February, 1944. Two other officers were sentenced to life imprisonment and two others to 20 years for complicity in the same crime. The time and place of execution have not been set since the cases must be reviewed by a higher authority.
