FORD COMPANY WORKERS

IRON-CLAD AGREEMENT DETROIT, Dec. 11. General Motors has cancelled its agreement with the United Automobile Workers on the grounds that the striking workers are attempting to usurp the management’s functions. The Ford division of the United Automobile Workers offered the Ford Company an almost iron-clad agreement. For unauthorised strikes, the United Automobile Workers offer the company the right to discharge the strike fomenters found guilty by the union. The Grievance Committee also has the right to fine strikers and participators three dollars a day for the first offence and five dollars for participation in subsequent unauthorised stoppages.
