Miss Mary Pratt left by air yesterday for Auckland, where she will take part in the Auckland Choral Union’s presentation of the “ Messiah ” to-morrow. On Monday she will sing in the " Messiah at Tirriaru. , „ . _ . , Advice has been received that Captain R. Newman, R.N.V.R., will visit Dunedin on December 13 for the purpose of carrying out the annual official inspection of the' Otago Division of the Navy League Csdcts. Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr Uren and Major B. Williams, for Christchurch; Mr and Mrs W. Sayer, Mr E. Cannons, and Mrs D. Wilkie, for Wellington; Mr K. Robertson, Mrs Clark. Miss Clark, and Miss M. Pratt, for Auckland. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were Miss H. M. McCulloch, Mr H. Graham, and Mrs A. Kidd, from Auckland; Mr G. Benson, Mr E. A. Astley, Mr M. G. Bell, and Mr C. J. Hayward, from Wellington; Mr H. Dobie. from Christchurch. Passengers who left for Invercargill were Miss J Thomson, Mr R. Parker, Mrs R. Ginn, Mr J. Little, Mr L. Bullock, and Mr H. Dobie.
