POVERTY BAY MEETING
DIVISIONS ANNOUNCED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Oct 2. Provision has been made for three divisions in the Trial Handicap at tile Poverty Bay Turf Club's meeting at Te Aroha on Saturday. If there are five scratchings, however, only two divisions will be required. The fields in the Junction Handicap and the Roseland Handicap are also over the safety limit, and two divisions have been provided for in each. Five scratchings will obviate the necessity for divisions in the Roseland Handicap. The divisions are:— Trial Handicap.—First division: Whitford Queen, Last Sign, Dark Ages, Golden Shar, Kanga, Red King, Sir Bridge, Koura Dink, Royal Silver, Jovial Lad, Race Lad, Battle Cruiser, Bonnie Gray, Luriri, Gay Joy, Chatswood, The Gusher, Beau Martian, Valmere, Rich Mint, Royal Honour. Second division: Bronya, Battle Royal, Tin Musk, Maid of Sherwood, To-night, South Riding, Our Bridge, Town Echo, Sangrade, Bay Jim, Happy Fox, Perillus Belle, Stable Boy, Miss Malibu, Rajalal, Royal Scot, Borderer. Trupoise, Brown Night, Miss Hiria. Third division: Te Heroine, Tilting, Battle Dawn, Silver Lap, Kathshara, United Effort, Irthana, Bhiru, Valtoun, San Rosa, Princess Fox, Skymaster, Nanakea, Battle Shield, Trustful, Miss Isaacs, Ranger Boy, Society Girl. Alnajo, Dukeron. Brackets: Whitford Queen and Maid of Sherwood, Te Heroine and Last Sign, Bronya and Tilting, Dark Ages and Battle Royal, Battle Dawn and Golden Shar. The starting times are as follows: — 11.30, Herriesville Hurdles: 12.18. Trial Handicap; 1.15, Junction Handicap; 2.0, Makaraka Handicap; 2.45. Juvenile Handicap; 3.30, Roseland Handicap; 4.15, Electric Handicap; 5.0, Waimata Handicap. Brackets in, the Juvenile Handicap are: Cornell and Mindoro, Mary Jane and Liquid Amber.
