BRITISH AND AMERICANS THE BASIS OF SUCCESS ROME, Sept. 30. “ Our success was due to the real friendship between the British and the Americans,” said Field-marshal Sir Harold Alexander, when bidding farewell to his troops. “ United we stood, and united we must stand. If we still display those great qualities which our peoples did during the fighting days, then a future will belong to us in which to make a better world for living in.”
