THEFT FROM CITY SHOP (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. A safe at Herberts, drapers, Cuba street, Wellington, was blown open on Friday night, and more than £2OO in notes and small change was stolen In addition, a considerable quantity of frocks and coats, valued at more than £l5O, was damaged, having been used to wrap round the safe to deaden the noise of the explosion.
