WEDDING

The marriage was celebrated on Monday of last week at the Roslyn Presbyterian Church between S./Sgt. A. J. Reid, son of Mr and Mrs G. W. Reid, of Highgate, and Miss Joan Murray, daughter of Mrs Angelo and the late Mr J. Murray, of Balclutha. Padre Mitchell was the officiating minister. The bride’s frock of brocaded satin was fashioned with a heart-shaped neckline and scalloped waistline, and her veil had been embroidered and worn by the bridegroom’s mother. The bride’s bouquet was of white orchids, roses, and hyacinths. The bridesmaids. Miss June Angelo and Miss Barbara Reid, wore long ice-green frocks, • off-the-face hats of the same colour, and they carried bouquets of pink and cerise stocks, anemones, and hyacinths. Messrs Winston Reid and Douglas Johnson acted as groomsmen. Mrs Reid travelled in a black-and-white check tailer suit with black accessories.
