Clutha River Dredge.—For the week ended on Friday the Clutha River dredge, operating at Alexandra, worked 102 hours and recovered 109 oz. Gillespie’s Beach Dredge.—The wash-up for the week ended on Saturday was 2ooz 3dwt for 105 hours from 12.173 yards.

Light condition, 2s to 3s each, medium condition hens, 3s 6d to 4s 6d each; heavy breeds, 4s 6d to 5s 6d each: geese 4s to 5s each; turkeys, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb, live weights; ducks, 2s 6d to 3s 6d each. Potatoes, at fixed rates. Chaff: Prime oaten sheaf, £7 10s per ton, bags extra, ex truck, £8 15s ex store. Whole maize, small stocks arriving. Oyster grit, 6s 6d per 1001 b bag. Straw: We have stocks of both oaten and wheaten. Onions: Canterbury, 29s 6d per cwt. Lucerne meal, 13s 6d per sack. Chickfoods; New season’s stocks are to hand from Canterbury in all grades. We can now offer buttermilk powder. Gristed barley 22s per 1501 b. Moosemeal, 23s 6d per bag, f.o.r. Oat dust, 5s 6d. Limited supplies of barley dust. Fowl crates supplied Poultry should arrive by Wednesday in each week. Egg payments weekly. Agents for egg pulp and Australian egg powder. We have stocks of both clover hay and lucerne hay. Molasses tn 4cwt drums to arrive.—October 1, 1945.
