At a low estimate this Linseed chaff is worth £7 a ton to the farmer, and even a half-ton crop should produce 1-3 of a ton of Linseed chaff, and a ton crop well over half a ton of Linseed chaff. SAFE? YES! The cessation of “Leasc-Lend” has already completely altered the position of many seed crops. Linseed is needed for a large New Zealand industry—the manufacture of Linseed Oil . . . Tile depiand for Linseed is assured . . . and ALL crops are purchased irrespective of quality. Growers are thus assured that they will not be left with undergrade seed. DROUGHT RESISTANT?- YES! No crop is completely drought resistant, but Linseed being deep rooted is reasonably drought resistant. In this respect it is th* best of all Spring crops. SUITS TO-DAY’S CONDITIONS? YES! This year’s abnormal season, plus the cessation of “ Lease-Lenfl ” has upset many farm plans; Linseed enables farmers to catch up with tlieir production with a most profitable crop, which can be lleader-harvested, and which leaves the land in first-class condition for Autumn Wheat . . .
