SOUTH SEAS CARNIVAL

The interest shown in the South Seas Carnival over the last few weeks was maintained during the week-end sessions. A special feature, a parade of breed dogs from the Otago Kennel Club, was provided on Saturday night, and was well received by those present. Another attraction which is popular with the public Is the electric speedway, where live monkeys drive their own cars. The various roll-downs, skittle-alleys, and dart games have many patrons, and the American ball game, Bingo, is always a centre of interest. The horsaplane merry-go-round is also a popular form of diversion, especially with the children. A percentage of the profits from the carnival, are being devoted to the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s new Winter Show Building Fund. Evening sessions will be held throughout this week, and the carnival will conclude on Saturday night.
