SUPPLIES FOR FINLAND
CEREALS FROM RUSSIA (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) HELSINKI. Sept. 5. Finland must import 250,000 tons o! cereals from Russia to maintain the present ration level, announced M. Arvo Lehtinen, general secretary of the Finnish Supply Ministry. He added that the Finns cannot expect an improvement of their meagre rations until the autumn of 1946. Hard frosts destroyed the greater part of the northern Finland potato crop.
