MR FRASER’S TORIES
Sir,—Mr Fraser is surely stuck for a weapon when he has to go back to his 30-year-old soapbox stuff—which saw him where?—in his endeavour to discredit a gentleman of the Empire who is working hard to give the returned boys the freedom of speech and freedom to conduct their own lives and businesses for which they have fought and to take them as far as possible away from Labour’s Nazi way of life. It is surely not fitting for one who has been proclaimed by his fellows as one of the world's greatest statesmen. They can enjoy their Labour pain in their own bed until 1946, when the new-born life will give hope to New Zealand once more. Their propaganda has had the while pine borer in it for long enough, and it will carry none of the weight for which Mr Nash and the rest of them will be wishing in 1946. I am, etc., 1914-18. Dunedin, September 4.
