STATE MINES IDLE

(P.A.) GREYMOUTH, Sept. 4. The Liverpool and Strongman State miners were idle to-day owing to a dispute over holiday pay on V-J day and at a mass meeting this evening decided to await a readjustment of the rate in accordance with the terms of their local agreement before resuming.
