DUNEDIN WATERWORKS

SILVERSTREAM. EXTENSION BILL (F.0.P.R.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 31. The Dunedin Waterworks (Silverstream Extension) Bill has been considered by the Local Bills Committee of the House of Representatives, which reported it with only one change. The committee has added to the conditions under which the work may be carried out, a direction that if the council'- decides to proceed with the work, either with or without alteration, it must give written notice to any person who made objection to the proposals, and if such person is dissatisfied with the council’s decision he may appeal to the Minister of Works, whose decision will be final.
