It is interesting to note that Dreadnought was by Chester— Trafalgar (Imp.), by Blair Athol—Mosquito, who was a sister to Musket, Birkenhead, Orme, and Ormonde, which all come under the Agnes Family. His sire, Balboa, was got by Varcoe—Nerve, by Birkenhead (a son of Orme), one of the most sensational horses of his day on the English turf.
