DAILY INTERCESSION
“ This is the day that the Lord hath made, we will rejoice and be glad in it. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.” “ Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who hath made desolations in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth. He breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder, He burneth the chariots in the fire. “ Be still, and know that I am God; l will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. “ The Lord of Hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our high tower." — Psalm xlvi.
O God, Who rulest in heaven and earth , and makest the wrath of man to praise Thee, we pour out to Thee our glad thankfulness for deliverance and victory, and for the hope of lasting peace, and a new world in which men shall do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Thee. We remember the dread, the partings, the sorrows of the war, but now Thou hast set us free, Thou hast given us light, and hope, and gladness. Unless the Lord had been our help, Our soul had soon dwelt in darkness. We thank Thee for all who served, leaders and led, for toilers, for all who gave their dearest, for all courage, endurance, and sacrifice. May we be worthy. Do Thou solace the broken in heart and heal all wounds of body and spirit. In these days of rejoicing help us to be faithful to the vows made in dark days, that the precious things Thou hast saved by this victory may be used for Thy glory, and the coming of Thy Kingdom, when He shall reign Who is King of Righteousness and * King of Peace.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me. bless His Holy Name.
