ALDERSHOT COURT MARTIAL

SOLDIERS ACQUITTED ON ONE CHARGE LONDON, Aug. 3. The Aldershot court martial acquitted Corporal, Acting Sergeant, Emmanuel Schuler on a charge of not endeavouring to suppress mutiny by virtue of his rank and authority. The charge arose from the Canadian soldiers’ riots at Aldershot on July 4 and 5. The court’s findings will be promulgated on charges o? joining the mutiny and using violence and threats to a superior officer. The court martial acquitted a Canadian private, Ira Lloyd Macintyre, on a charge of causing a mutiny. The court’s finding on charges against Macintyre of endeavouring to persuade others to join a mutiny, and interfering with civil and military vehicles, will be promulgated.
