MAINLY FAIR
Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington : Situation.—There is an intense anticyclone east of the North Island, and a trough of low pressure in Cook Strait. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Light, variable breezes; some morning coastal fog, but weather otherwise fair, or fine. Further Outlook.—Fair. Weather in Dunedin.—Although some rain fell on Saturday night the weather generally in Dunedin during the week-end was fine and sunny. There was a light air from the north-east yesterday. The barometer was steady, the reading at midnight being 30.36 inches (1023 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken during the week-end at the Daily Times Office:—
