Emulous, who was taken to Oamaru to be prepared for the Addington meeting, ricked himself and has had to be given a spell. Trotting Stakes Candidate David Drvden. who will start off 60yds in (he Addington Trotting Stakes this month, has two wins and three seconds to his credit in his last six starts. By Quite Sure from Sister Rose, by Rey de Oro from Sister Maud, by Nelson Bingen from Lady Derby, bv Rothschild from Norice, he ranks as a full brother to Teddy Gregg. By Indianapolis There will be half a dozen four-year-olds representing Indianapolis in Auckland this season—lndian Lad, Indian, Quest., Indian Star, Indian Pointer, Napolis, and Our Star. Of these Indian Quest and Indian Lad have shown form, the former having recorded three placings and the latter a win and a third. A Good Prospect Golden Shadow has not run a bad race since being trained by J. Young at Addington, and the Red Shadow horse looks sure to win a race this season. His dam, Great Muricata, was bred by Mr R. M Morten at Tai Tapu. and is by Maxegin from Muricata, by Mauritius from Ocean Wave, by Rothschild from Ripple, by Fleur de Lys. The Trotting Cup It is reported that the 1945 Trotting Cup will probably be of 4min 22sec class. Under this schedule horses eligible include: Haughty, 4min 17sec; Bronze Eagle, 4min 18sec: Pacing Power, 4min 18sec; Countless, 4min 19sec: Loyal Friend, 4min 20sec; Double Peter. 4min 21sec: Dusky Sound. 4min 21sec; Fine Art, 4min 21sec: Gold Bar, 4min 21sec; Hardy Oak. 4min 21sec; Indian Clipper. 4min 21sec: Integrity, 4min 21sec; Happy Man, 4min 22sec; Clockwork. 4min 22sec; Coquette, 4min 22see: Parshall, 4min 22sec; Shadow Maid. 4min 22sec.
