WOMEN STORM SHOP
MINOR RIOT OVER SHOES LONDON, June 25. Nearly 1000 women in a queue which began at midnight caused a minor riot. An Edinburgh shop offered 100 pairs of shoes. Tail-enders in the queue, as they saw their chances diminishing, stormed the shop, which had to be closed to prevent damage. Many of those who waited in the queue all night had stools and food with them.
