GENERAL DE GAULLE’S ACTION CONFIRMATION OF REPORT LONDON, June 25. A spokesman at General de Gaulle’s office officially confirmed that the Had-field-Spears hospital unit had been closed “for the reason given by Lady Spears,” says the British United Press Paris correspondent. The spokesman declined to comment further.

It was reported yesterday that, angered by the sight of Union Jacks on cars of the Hadfield-Spears mobile hospital unit, which participated in the French forces’ parade in Paris this week. General de Gaulle instructed the War Minister to close the hospital within three days and to repatriate all British members immediately.
