INQUIRIES IN EUROPE . The International Red Cross Committee at Geneva has instituted a Central Index of Dispersed Families. The Index has been set up with a view to finding missing civilians in Europe and putting them in touch with their relatives living abroad. . . , Special cards for this purpose have been printed, and are obtainable on application to the secretary, Joint Council of the Order of St. John and New Zealand Red Cross Society, Queen’s Buildings, Princes street, Dunedin. There is no charge for these cards, and the cost of forwarding them to the International Red Cross Committee will he borne by the Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the New Zealand Red Cross Society. In regard to inquiries for Polish nationals, the cards must be sent forward in duplicale and may have attached a message, although the international Red Cross Committee can give no assurance that such message will' actually be transmitted.
