DETAILS OF PERFORMANCE NEW YORK, May 27. With the Army Department’s permission the Boeing Aircraft Company disclosed that Super-Fortresses of the type which raided Tokio on May 25 have a top speed of over 350 miles ar, hour and a range of over 3600 miles. They can carry a bomb load of 10 tons; fuselage diameter is 9ft, and the gross weight is over 135,0001 b, wh : ch is more than double that of the Flying-Fort-ress. Super-Fortresses carry an liman crew, not 10 as previously announced. They are armed with 50calibre machine guns, presumably at least four, which have replaced 20mm cannon in the tail.
