GENERALLY FINE BUT COOL Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m, yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington : Situation.—An anti-cyclone is moving on to the North Island, and a trough is passing over the South Island from the south-west. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate decreasing south-westerly winds; weather fair and cool. Further Outlook.—Fair to cloudy. Weather in Dunedin.—The weather in Dunedin was mainly overcast yesterday, and it becaime threatening in the late afternoon. Temperatures were fairly mild, and there was a light wind from the south-west. The barometer remained high, the midnight reading being 30.24 inches (1024 millibars). The following are the meteorological observations taken yesterday at the Daily Times Office:—
