NAVY LEAGUE NOTES
By courtesy of the A. and P. Society, the Navy League will have an . exhibit at the Winter Show. There will be no actual spinning display. but all the processes of the work will be shown. Examples of all knitted comforts will be on view, and also samples of articles
which are sent overseas to seamen’s families. It is hoped also to include in the exhibit some models of famous ships. As goods are being constantly despatched, it can readily be understood that the exhibit cannot be a largp one, but will be only representative of the work. During Show Week, visitors interested in spinning will be welcome at the spinning room in the New Zealand Express Company’s building, any day except Monday and Saturday. One friend of the league has sent a generous contribution towards the Christmas gift parcels for the seamen’s children overseas, made by herself —12 little girls' coats, complete with blouse tops, pocket handkerchief, and tiny coat hangers, and six beautifully-dressed dolls.
