The committee set up to investigate the Kaiapoi Woollen Mills dispute reserved its decision after a sitting which lasted all day. The parties could not agree, and it was left to the chairman, Mr A. B. Rigg, Conciliation Commissioner, to give a finding which will be binding on both parties. Mr Rigg said this evening that ■it would be a day or two before his decision would be announced. The 41 two-loom weavers whose piece rates form the basis of the dispute returned to work to-day after a stoppage lasting a week.
