HANDED OVER BY RUSSIA
RELEASED ALLIED PRISONERS (Rec. 8 p.m.) RUGBY, May 16. It is disclosed at Allied Headquarters that 8000 prisoners of war, including 4000 Americans and a number of British, liberated by the Russians, were passed over to the Western Allies on Monday. Negotiations are proceeding for many more behind the Russian lines to be repatriated.
