PROVISION FOR RECREATION

Concern was . expressed in various parts of the country that adequate provision was not being made for recreational areas in the widespread housing schemes of the Government, says the annual report of the New Zealand Council of Sport. Deputations were afforded access to the available data by the departments, and the Minister gave an assurance that full provision was being made. Further investigation and surveys were being continued by the council in order to be fully satisfied in this vital matter.
