THE FISH MARKET
A considerable improvement in supply and variety resulted in prices being somewhat easier at yesterday morning’s fish auction after the high prices which had ruled all the week. All varieties were promptly cleared at the following prices:— Lemon soles, 71d to lOd per lb; English soles, 6d to 63d per lb; flounders, 6d to lOd per lb; ling, 33d to 4Jd per lb; blue cod. BJd per lb; groper, lid to 12d per lb; gurnard, 41d per lb; red cod, 30s per large case.
