CHINESE CASUALTIES
WAR MINISTER’S ESTIMATE OVER THREE MILLIONS (Rec. 11 p.m.) CHUNGKING, Apl. 26. General Chen Cheng, War Minister, estimated that the Chinese casualties from the outbreak of war in July, 1937 until March, 1945, totalled 3,100,000. Discussing the present Japanese offensive aimed at Chihkiang, the Minister said the enemy would be halted.
