STRATH-TAIERI SHOW DOG TRIALS

Sir. —With reference to the judging of the dog trials at the Strath-Taieri Show, in my opinion the dog that was placed second should have been first, and the first second. My reason for suggesting this placing is that Mr Matheson's dog turned his ,tail to his sheep after heading, while Mr Thomson’s dog kept his head towards the sheep, which, in my view, is the correct thing to do.—l am, etc., Wm.
