BILL SCOTT WINS CUP (P.A.) PALMERSTON N.. Apl. 8. The Manawatu Trotting Club’s annual meeting was held in fine weather, though light rain fell early. The course was in great order, but the going was easy. There was a good attendance, and the totalisator handled £26,118, compared with £20,242 last year. The following are the results: — Awapuni Handicap, of £l6O. One mile and a-half.—-6/6 Worthy Robert, scr (A. J. Corrigan), 1; 3/3 Port Chalmers, scr (R. Stevens), 2, coupled with Te Toki; 1/2 St. Mary, scr (G. Cameron), 3. Scratched: Sydney McKinney, Mamanuas. Six lengths, two lengths. Kaipaki Bill was fourth. Time, 3min 40sec.
