MILK PRODUCTION
Sir.—lt is now nearing the time when producers will be faced with the heavy task of winter feeding. < Six months ago we were promised an increase by the Government, which we have not received. Would the freezing workers, coal miners; etc.; have waited as long for their money as we have? They would have gone on strike and been paid long ago. The producers . have been receiving BJd a gallon against 2s when sold by the vendor company, How much longer are the farmers going to carry on like this? Do they lack of the backbone other bodies have? Now ■is the time for mass meetings to be held to demand our rights before winter sets in.—l am, etc., Dunedin, March 22. Milk Producer.
