1,500,000 PRISONERS TAKEN RUGBY, Mar. 20. The total number of German prisoners captured by the Allied forces in the west from September, 1939, to the lastest available date is about 1,500,000 Announcing this in the House of Commons, the Minister for War, Sir James Grigg, explained that the figures did not include prisoners taken by the Soviet Army.
