Ingram, of Dunedin, who is serving with the R.N.Z.A.F. in England, has gained his commission with the rank of pilot officer. Pilot Officer Ingram is a younger brother of the late Squadron Leader. Bruce lnto the work of the late Mrs Eardlev Reynolds was paid by Mr W Downi'e Stewart at the annual meeting of the Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society of Olago yesterday. Mr Stewart said that Mrs Reynolds had been a member of the society for 20 years and had taken a keen interest in all its activities. • Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to her memory. At the annual conference of the New Zealand Bakers and Pastrycooks’ Association, held in Wellington, the following officers were elected President, Mr A. E. Brownlie (Auckland): vice-president, Mr F. W. Cresswell (Wellington); council —Messrs 11. E. Fairey (Palmerston North), W. S. N. Rennie (West Coast, North Island), F. 11. Hawker (Canterbury), G. R. Harker (West Coast. South Island). J. F. Frew (Otago), and T. McKenzie (Invercargill). Passengers who left for the north by the airliner yesterday were Mr P. Aldous and Mr L. J. Griffin for Christchurch, Mr J. M. Somerville and Mr W D Anderson for Wellington. Mr G. E. Kay, Mr H. M. Ilewson. Mr C. J. Boyle, Mr H. R. Dorreen, Mrs G. N, Crawford and Miss R. E. Crawford for Auckland. Passengers who arrived by the afternoon plane were Mrs G. Wilkinson, Mr S. Glendining and Mr Mothes from Auckland, Mr and Mrs S. Georgeson, Miss M. Georgeson, Mrs L. Ferguson and Mr V. S. Jacobs from Wellington, Miss E. Thomas and Mr W. McKenzie from Christchurch. Passengers who left for Invercargill were Mr and Mrs J. Clinch, Mr R. M. Wilson, Miss A. Angus, Mr R. W. McLennan. Mr V.
