SERVICES IN MIDDLE EAST (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 29. The Minister of Defence, Mr F. Jones, has received advice that the King has approved of the following honours and awards to members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. for services in the Middle East:— 0.8. E, Honorary Lieutenant-colonel Henry Charles Steere; brother, Mr E. R. G. Steere, Lower Hutt. (He was previously mentioned in despatches.) The Commissioner of the New Zealand Red Cross, Honorary Major William Glenholme Tweedy; wife, Mrs H. Tweedy, Timaru. M.B.E. Mr Riga Wells Blair; mother, Mrs E. Blair, Waipukurau.
