The disappearance of some valuable brooches from a shop window in Hamilton was causing the police some concern. After an extensive search <?f the buildings, detectives found hidden in a corner of the shop a velvet cloth on which the brooches were pinned. It was a rat's nest. Two reasons whv Kaitangala coal is the favourite are its great heat and its lasting qualities.—Advt.
