CITY TRANSPORT

GOODMAN REPORT STILL AWAITED The long-awaited report by Sir William Goodman on the city transport/ system has not come to hand, and there is no indication at the moment when it will arrive. The City Council decided in December, 1943, to secure an independent report on the condition of the transport system, and Sir William Goodman was appointed for the purpose. He arrived in Dundin from Adelaide early in February, 1944, and the council received his interim report towards the end of the following May. In September last an assurance was received from Sir William that he would forward the balance of the report in three weeks, as it had been delayed on account of illness. The report, however, is still awaited.
