SMALLER ENTRIES FORWARD IMPROVEMENT IN VALUES With smaller entries in the major sections at Burnside yesterday, there was a decided improvement in values. The yarding of cattle was somewhat below requirements and a keen sale resulted throughout, with values improving to the extent of 30s a head on last sale. Fat sheep were also in short supply and had a ready sale for all classes. Lamb, however. did not receive the same attention, and prices were easier on the average, compared with the previous sale. The yarding of baconefs was also a small one, and prices remained equal to those ruling at recent sales. Fat Cattle.—The entry numbered 185 head, compared with 230 a fortnight ago. The quality again was good and all classes forward met with keen competition, prime and medium descriptions being the popular choice. The sale opened firm on late values, with a steady improvement throughout, and a. decided improvement
