TWO standard designs' for permanent houses have been prepared to provide for the accommodation of MARRIED workers. Applications must be submitted to DISTRICT PRIMARY PRODUCTION COUNCILS, who have authority to grant approval only if the-supply of the accommodation will result in maintenance or INCREASE in PRIMARY PRODUCTION and, in particular, if the accommodation is required to house EXTRA LABOUR. A form of Application is obtainable from the nearest Primary Production Council, from Dairy Companies, or from the State Advances Corporation. Applications close on NOVEMBER 30, 1944. OTAGO PRIMARY PRODUCTION COUNCIL, C.P.O. Box 693, Dunedin. THERE WILL BE NO POST-AVAR SLUMP This is not a matter' of opinion, but a case for our decision. The causes of slumps are known, and the cure is obvious once the causes are understood. As we are a sovereign people, the decision is our responsibility. Our Representatives legislate on our behalf, but although ample discretion is allowed them, they have no power to legislate against the clearly stated will of the people. ’This is so, for the King or His Representative signs each Act of Parliament, indicating that it is the decision of an orderly Representative House. Titus The Monarchy safeguards Democracy. The first step, is: “GUARANTEE TO EVERY SERVICEMAN OR WOMAN FULL SERVICE PAY AND ALLOWANCES FOR AN INDEFINITE PERIOD, SO THAT THE QUESTION OF EMPLOYMENT CEASES TO BE URGENT, AND OTHER ASPECTS OF REHABILITATION INTO CIVIL LIFE TAKE PRIORITY.” Published by the Social Educational Assn., Moran Buildings, 8 Octagon, Dunedin.
