Dorothy Lamour, and Victor Moore in the technicolor musical attraction, “ Riding High.” State Theatre.—Martha Scott, Dennis O’Keefe, Billie Burke, Pola Negri, June Havoc, anti Adolphe Menjou provide plenty of laughs in “ Hi Diddle Diddle.” Empire Theatre.—A dramatic picture of interest to all women, “ Ladies Courageous ” features Loretta Young. Geraldine Fitzgerald, Anne Gwynne, Diana Barrymore, Evelyn Ankers, June Vincent, and Lois Collier. f Strand Theatre.—An action-filled Western attraction. “ Romance of the Range.” with Roy Rogers and George “ Gabby ” Hayes, and the comedy “ Spotlight Scandals,” featuring Billy Gilbert, Frank Fay and Bonnie Baker. St. James Theatre. —The comedians. Abbott and Costello, in ” Hold That Ghost.” also featuring Richard Carlson, Mischa Auer, Joan Davis and the Andrew Sisters; and Turhan Bey as an eccentric scientist in “ The Mad Ghoul.” Mayfair Theatre—Numbered among the celebrated stars in “ Tales of Manhattan ” are Charles Boyer, Charles Laughton. Rita Hayworth. Henry Fonda, Ginger Rogers, Paul Robeson, and George Sanders.
