DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE There were buyers of Bank of New Zealand Long D shares at £1 13s on the Dunedin Stock Exchange yesterday, but sellers did not quote below £1 14s. National Insurances, were sought at £1 4S 3d with sellers Gd away, and New Zealand Insurances were quoted £4 8s Gd and £4 9s 3d, buyer and seller. Other quotations were as follows:—Gear Meat, £1 ss, £1 6s 3d; N.Z. Refrigerating (paid), £1 7s 9d, £1 8s 3d—contributing, 13s 9d, 14s; Guarantee Corp., 4s. 4s Gd; Wright, Stephenson (ord.), £1 5s Gd, £1 10s; Dunedin Breweries, £1 7s, £1 8s; Westport Coal, £1 5s 9d, £1 6s 6d: Westport-Stock-ton (ord.), Is Id, 2s Gd; Bruce Woollen (ord.), £1 12s, £1 14s Gd; Kaiapoi (pref.), £1 4s 6d, £1 5s Gd—all buyers and sellers respectively. Waitaki Freezing were sought at £7 Bs, but no sellers quoted. Australian Foundations were wanted at ss, but the lowest selling quotation was 9d away. Colonial Sugars were sought at £56 5s with sellers offering at £57. and Consolidated Bricks were offered at 10s 4d, but no buyer advanced a bid above 10s. An offer of £3 7s was made for Donaghy’s Rope with a seller at £3 10s, Otago Daily Times shares were quoted at £2 11s and £2 14s Gd, N.Z. Express at 4s 6d and 7s, Woolworths (N.Z.) at £1 Is and £1 Is 4d, Claude Neon (N.Z.) at £1 7s 9d and £1 10s, and Mount Lyells at £1 11s 3d and £1 12s, buyers and sellers respectively. There was a buyer of Mount Morgans at 7s with sellers Is away, and Wailahus were wanted at sd, but sellers did not quote below Bd. Yesterday’s Sales
