SUFFERERS FROM ALLIED RAIDS BOMBER COMMAND’S GIFT (Rec 9 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 5. As a tribute to French people who risked their lives in helping escaped British airmen, -Bomber Command proposes to raise £IO,OOO for French children who suffered through R.A.F. bombing. Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Harris, in a letter to all ranks, said: “No one who visited France in R.A.F. uniform can fail to be impressed by the lack of rancour shown even by those who directly suffered.”
