WAVES OF ROBOTS

SENT ACROSS CHANNEL LONDON. Aug. 30. Waves of flying bombs were fired against Southern England including the London area, at intervals throughout last night, causing casualties and damage. The attacks were resumed in daylight. One coastal area was shaken by a terrific anti-aircraft barrage which brought down a number of the robots. A.A. guns and fighter pilots destroyed a number of flying bombs. One" flight lieutenant destroyed three and shared a fourth with merchant navy gunners all in one short period.
