PULLING OUT

HITLER ORDERS WITHDRAWAL LONDON, July 3. Hitler has odered the withdrawal of all German troops from Italy, said the Turkish official radio, quoting reports received by Turkish Government officials. The radio added: “Kesselring has been ordered to leave only small forces to defend the mountain pass approaches to Southern France and Austria. On Hitler’s orders, the garrisons in Northern Italian towns are to be cut to minimum strength. Each garrison has already been drawn on to reinforce the German armies attempting to stall the Allied offensive in Italy.”
