THE WEATHER
CLOUDY WITH DRIZZLE v Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office, in Wellington:— Variable winds, becoftiing moderate from the north-east; weather cloudy at times on the coast, with some morning drizzle, but fine inland. Further Outlook.—Freshening northerlies, but fair and milder. Weather in Dunedin.—'The weather continued to shew a general improvement yesterday. There were, only occasional light drizzling showers in the early part of the morning, and the afternoon was fine. There was a light south-west air, and the barometer was high and steady, the reading at midnight being 30.60 inches (1036 millibars).
