THE PRIME MINISTER

Sir,—We in New Zealand surely havo enough worries without the Prime Minister adding to them by needlessly exposing himself to the dangers of the battlefield, Just as the people of Great Britain are anxious about their Prime Minister, so we in New Zealand are anxious about ours, because, as. everybody knows, real statesmen are invaluable these days, and men like Mr Winston Churchill and Mr Peter Fraser would be difficult to replace. Could the Acting Prime Minister, Mr Sullivan, not send Mr Fraser a message pleading with him to be more careful for our sakes, and not to expose himself unnecessarily to such perils?—X am, etc., Anxious. Invercargill, June 20.
